Black History Month Trading Card DIY
In the past, we've used the Kid Made Modern Trading Card Kit to celebrate Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. It's also a great way to celebrate the impact and accomplishments of Black Americans, especially during Black History Month.
Read on to find out how we transformed these trading cards into celebrations of Black Americans who have shaped our history.

Instructions
Step 1
Research Black men and women who may not be well known, but have made an impact on our lives. It’s especially fun for children to learn more about the accomplishments of Black people in areas and fields they find interesting, as well as inventors of items they use every day.
Step 2
Create a list of facts to include on the back of each trading card. Birthdate, place of birth, awards & recognition and fun facts are great places to start.
Step 3
Sketch the individual on the trading card, being sure to add cool details like dialogue boxes and illustrations.
Step 4
Add color to the trading cards, package them up and trade!
